Agra deserves a stay of more than a day. This is because there is a lot to do, and a period of three days will allow the visitors enough time to enjoy themselves without rushing here and there.

Day 1

Get to the Taj Mahal as early as you can; the crowds and heat both pick up fast once the morning passes. After that, Agra Fort is just a short drive away and honestly pairs really well with the Taj since so much of their history overlaps. Keep the evening loose for Sadar Bazaar, a good spot for leather goods and marble handicrafts if anyone in the group likes to shop.

Day 2

Head out to Fatehpur Sikri, about an hour from the city, and spend some time walking through the old Mughal capital and Buland Darwaza. On the way back, stop at Mehtab Bagh in the evening; it gives you a quieter, different view of the Taj from across the river.

Day 3

Wrap things up with Itmad ud Daulah, often called the Baby Taj, and then Akbar's Tomb in Sikandra before heading home.

Since the group will be covering spots that are fairly spread out, sorting out a bus on rent in Agra beforehand really takes the pressure off. No parking headaches, no splitting up everyone just moves together for all three days.
